Great opportunity for a Staff Accountant to work for a great company in the Plantation area. This individual will be responsible for several aspects of the monthly financial closing process including preparation and review of journal entries and account reconciliations. Reconciliation of several cash accounts is done on a daily basis.
* BA/BS in Accounting
* Experience within the brokerage industry is preferred.
* Familiarity and understanding of General Accepted Accounting Principles.
* Highly proficient in Excel, Word and other Microsoft office applications.
* Detail oriented with strong analytical and organization skills.
* Knowledge of Great Plains Dynamics and FRx or similar general ledger packages.
* Great interpersonal and communication skills.
* Must be flexible for overtime.
